JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE

TIM ATTWELL

Tim is the new Junior representative for Mendip Ac and has already been attending committee meetings to help put forward the views of our junior members. This is an important role in a club such as ours and if you think something is not right or could be improved, then have a word with Timmy at training. Tim has been running for some years now, having been introduced to athletics through his parents , Frank and Hazel, and prefers the middle distances though he will have a go at most things !

He represents his school, Huish Episcopi at Langport, at Cross Country at District and County Level  following in the footsteps of people like Doug, Charles and Matt Parsons who also went to Huish.

Hi, I'm Doug, running at U 20 level now and studying at  Strode College but hopefully

off to Bath University in  the Autumn.  When I do I hope that Timmy Attwell will be your

new Junior representative.

I started running cross country at 13 and first met Ian Humphreys when he was involved

with  the County team. I came to Millfield with Wells City Harriers a few times, but then

 moved to Langport Runners for a couple of years. When they decided youngsters

weren't safe to run on their own ( Charles and I were the fastest by then ! ) we moved

to Mendip , the best junior athletics club in Somerset!
